Backgrounds and Embellishments
Backgrounds and embellishments offer you almost unlimited creativity. Choose from dozens of these design elements to add spice and personality to your albums.
Apply Photo Effects
Applying effects to photos can improve their appearance and enhance your design. Changed to a black and white or sepia, for example, to give an antique feel. Here are a few of the effects available to you.
- Brighten. Moves the balance of light and dark shades in the image more toward the light shades.
- Darken. Moves the balance of light and dark shades in the image more toward the dark shades.
- Gamma Correction. Changes brightness values of the middle range of gray tones without dramatically altering the shadows and highlights.
- Black/White. Transforms a color image into a black and white image.
- Sepia. Applies a brown and white coloration to the image like early 20th century photographs.
- Mirror. Turns the image around, as if you were seeing it in a mirror.
Flip. Turns the image upside down.
- Blur. Softens the focus or reduces the definition of the image.
- Sharpen. Increases the focus or definition of the image.
- Sketch. Simulates a drawing of the image (black and white).
- Emboss. Makes the image look like foil has been placed over the image and it has been sculpted to the image's contours and colorized.
- Impressionist Painting. Gives the image an artistic brushed look.
- Negative. Reverses the color of the image.
- Fish Eye. Simulates viewing the image through a fisheye lens--a lens that distorts the image to make the middle portion of the image appear larger and the outer edges smaller.
- Mat. Add a mat--a clever border or frame--to a photo or edit an existing mat.
- Drop Shadow. Give a sense of depth and make your designs stand out by adding a shadow to your photos or edit an existing shadow.
Video
One of the most unique features of LifeTimez is the ability to place video segments right inside your digital albums, adding extra life and personality to your scrapbooks. LifeTimez can accept video files in QuickTime movie (.mov), AVI (using Cinepak, DV or Motiion JPEG codes), Mpeg (.mpg) and Flash (.swf) formats.
Voice Narration
Photos take on new meaning with voice narration. Don't miss capturing the priceless voices of your loved ones -- whether it be a grandparent sharing a tender story or a baby's first words. You can even add detail and richness to your albums recording your verbal comments along with your photos, like a living journal. If your album has background music, your narration will override background audio while it's playing.
MusicSets the Mood
Nothing brings a memory to life more quickly than a familiar song or sound. You can easily add music or other sound files from your personal library to each individual page. Or you can add music or audio files that are set to play in the background throughout your entire album. Files accepted include: WAV, MP3, AIFF, and MIDI sounds.
Share It
Sharing has never been easier! Albums can be printed or shared digitally... or both! It's up to you. With LifeTimez, you don't have to choose whether you want to create a digital or printed album, because the software maintains print quality throughout the design process, allowing you to output with any option. Options include:
- Print from your home computer
- Create an Interactive CD
- Professional Print Processing Order DVD
